KATHMANDU, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) — Spanish mountaineer Carlos Soria, 82, has abandoned his 12th attempt on Mt. Dhaulagiri in another setback for his effort to become the oldest person to climb the world’s 14 tallest peaks, the climber said Thursday.

In a post on his Facebook account, the Spanish said he decided to give up on Mt. Dhaulagiri, the world’s seventh-tallest peak at 8,167 meters, due to some complications
