SINGAPORE, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) — Singapore reported 1,647 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the total tally in the country to 89,539.

Of the new cases, 1,280 were in the community, 362 were in migrant worker dormitories and five were imported cases, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in a statement.

A total of 1,288 COVID-19 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with 194 cases of serious illness req
