HANOI, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) — Vietnam reported 12,481 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday, including 12,477 locally transmitted and four imported, according to the country’s Ministry of Health.

The new infections brought the country’s total tally to 536,788, with 13,385 deaths, the ministry said.

Most of the community cases were detected in southern localities, including 7,122 in the epicenter Ho Chi M
