HANOI, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) — Vietnam reported another record high of 14,922 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, surpassing the previous record of 14,224 cases on Monday, according to the country’s Ministry of Health.

The new infections, including 14,894 locally transmitted and 28 imported, brought the country’s total tally to 501,649, with 12,476 deaths, the ministry said.
