HANOI, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) — Vietnam reported a new high of 10,657 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, marking the second day in a row with over 10,000 new cases recorded in the country, according to the Ministry of Health.

The new infections, including 10,650 locally transmitted and seven imported, brought the total tally to 323,268, with 7,540 deaths, the ministry said.

Most of the community cases were detected
