HANOI, July 30 (Xinhua) — Vietnam recorded 8,649 new cases of COVID-19 infections on Friday, including 8,622 locally transmitted and 27 imported, according to the country’s Ministry of Health.

The new infections brought the total tally in Vietnam to 137,062 with 1,161 deaths, the ministry said.
