SAGAING, Myanmar – Junta troops abandoned a police station in Budalin Township, Sagaing Region, on Wednesday following a year-long siege by regional resistance groups.

The regime had thoroughly fortified the rural police station in Kutaw village with bunkers and trenches. Still, People’s Defense Force (PDF) fighters were able to cut off supply routes, forcing junta troops to escape.
