HANOI, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) — Vietnam’s rice exports set new records in both volume and value in 2024 at 9 million tons and 5.7 billion U.S. dollars, said the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The rice exports represented a rise of 11 percent in volume and 24 percent in value over 2023, Vietnam News reported Tuesday.

The average rice export prices this year also set a record high of more than 60
