PHNOM PENH, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) — Cambodia has been elected as a member of the Organizational Committee of the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission for the 2025-2026 term, said a press release from the country’s ministry of foreign affairs on Saturday.

The election was held during the 54th Plenary Meeting of the U.N. General Assembly on Dec. 19 in New York, the press release said.
