URUMQI, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) — The foreign trade value of northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region rose by 26 percent year on year in the first 11 months of 2024, reaching a record 403.1 billion yuan (about 56.1 billion U.S. dollars), according to local authorities.

This is the first time the region’s foreign trade value has exceeded 400 billion yuan, Urumqi Customs said.
