JAKARTA, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) — Indonesian President Joko Widodo launched the construction of the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit East-West Corridor Phase 1 on Wednesday at the Thamrin MRT Station in Central Jakarta.
“We aim to expand the scope of development, so today the MRT will be built again for the East-West phase 1, from Medan Satria to Tomang over 24.5 km,” Widodo said.
