DHAKA, July 28 (Xinhua) — Bangladesh reported 272 new dengue cases and two new deaths in the last 24 hours as of 8:00 a.m. local time Sunday, taking the tally to 5,768 and the death toll to 55 so far this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) under the Ministry of Health said.

According to the DGHS, 2,117 dengue cases were recorded so far in July, after 798 in June and 644 in May.
