DHAKA, Bangladesh – Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean have hijacked a Bangladeshi flag carrier ship near Somalia.

The incident occurred on Tuesday.

The “MV Abdullah” was transporting coal from Mozambique’s Maputo port to Al Hamriyah Port in the United Arab Emirates.

The KSRM Group’s SR Shipping owns the ship. At 1:30 p.m., the group learned that pirates had captured the ship.
