COLOMBO, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) — Over 60 inmates have escaped the state-run Kandakadu Treatment and Rehabilitation Center in North Central Province in Sri Lanka on Friday night, said Commissioner General of Rehabilitation Darshana Hettiarachchi.

Hettiarachchi told the media that the inmates had escaped amid a clash between two groups of recovering addicts, and at least 19 have been injured during the clash.
