MANILA, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) — The Philippines barred 171 foreign nationals convicted or involved in sex offenses from entering the country in 2023, the country’s Bureau of Immigration (BI) said Friday.

BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said 153 people were registered sex offenders, while the rest were either charged with sex crimes or similar offenses.
