ISLAMABAD, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) — The Pakistani nation paid homage to the founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 147th birthday on Monday, who led a movement to get a separate homeland for the Muslims of the British-ruled Indian subcontinent in 1947.
Jinnah, born on Dec. 25, 1876, was revered as Quaid-e-Azam (the great leader) for his unwavering dedication to the creation of Pakistan on Aug. 14, 1947.
