NEW YORK: On December 15, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City said it will return two sculptures to Thailand and 14 to Cambodia.

The artifacts were associated with art dealer Douglas Latchford, charged in 2019 with smuggling looted artefacts from Southeast Asia, the museum added.

The U.S. Attorney’s office in the Southern District of New York indicted Latchford for supplying major auction houses
