KATHMANDU, Nepal – On Wednesday, one person died of bullet wounds after police fired live rounds into the air to disperse protesters in Simraungadh Municipality of Bara. To keep the crowd under control, the police also fired teargas shells.

Laxmi Mukhiya, 25, of Nansagaradhant, received bullet wounds to the back of his head. He died on the spot, and police took him to Narayani Hospital in Birgunj for a post-morte
