JAKARTA, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) — An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 rocked off Indonesia’s eastern province of North Maluku on Monday evening, without causing a tsunami, said the country’s meteorology, climatology and geophysics agency.

The agency initially said the quake measured 5.9 on the Richter scale, but later revised its intensity.

The earthquake, with a depth of 152 km, happened at 19:51 p.m. Jaka
