YANGON, June 19 (Xinhua) — Myanmar authorities have seized 22 kilograms of heroin in the country’s central region of Mandalay, according to a statement from the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) late Sunday.

Acting on a tipoff, anti-narcotics police raided a house in Pyigyitagun Township of Mandalay on June 15, and confiscated the heroin in soap containers, the statement said.
