YANGON, April 18 (Xinhua) — Myanmar authorities have seized 27.72 kilograms of heroin in Kachin state of northern Myanmar, the state media citing the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control reported on Tuesday.

Acting on a tipoff, anti-narcotics police searched a 22-wheeled vehicle in Mohnyin township of Kachin state on April 14 and confiscated the heroin being carried in soap containers, the report said.
