KUALA LUMPUR, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) — Malaysia reported 902 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight Friday, bringing the national total to 5,022,144, according to the health ministry.

There are five imported cases and 897 cases of local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed.

Another six deaths have been reported, taking the death toll to 36,830.
