Alexey Shchusev was a protege of the famous artist Ilya Repin, but he went on to be a great architect and today is known first and foremost as the genius behind Lenin’s final resting place on Moscow’s Red Square. In addition to that masterpiece, he has numerous other monumental projects under his belt.
