MANILA, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) — Year-on-year inflation rate in the Philippines accelerated to 7.7 percent in October from 6.9 percent in September, the highest since October 2018, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Friday.

With the October inflation, the PSA said the Philippine average inflation rate stood at 5.4 percent from January to October 2022. In October 2021, the inflation rate was at 4 percent
