SINGAPORE, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) — Singapore reported 5,923 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the total tally to 1,930,062.

Of the new cases, 562 were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 5,361 through ART (antigen rapid test) tests, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Health.
