ISLAMABAD, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) — Pakistan recorded 158 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the overall number of confirmed cases to 1,570,462, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday.

The new infections were detected after diagnostic testing was performed on 15,303 samples.

A total of 30,594 people have died from COVID-19 in Pakistan, with one more death reported on Tuesday, said the ministry.
