HANOI, June 3 (Xinhua) — Vietnam exported nearly 7 billion U.S. dollars worth of wood and wood products in the first five months of this year, up 4.7 percent year on year, according to the country’s General Statistics Office on Friday.

In May alone, the country raked in about 1.4 billion dollars from exporting wood and wood products, posting a 2.6-percent year-on-year decrease.
