HANOI, June 2 (Xinhua) — Vietnam earned nearly 24.9 billion U.S. dollars from exporting phones and components in the first five months of this year, according to the country’s General Statistics Office on Thursday.

The number accounted for 16.3 percent of the country’s total export revenue over the period and posted a year-on-year rise of 14.3 percent.
