HANOI, April 30 (Xinhua) — Vietnam reported 5,109 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, a fall of 959 from Friday.

The health ministry said the new infections, recorded in 56 provinces and cities, were all domestically transmitted.

The Vietnamese capital Hanoi remained the epidemic hotspot with 837 new cases recorded on Saturday, followed by the provinces of Phu Tho with 379 and Yen Bai with 250.
