KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 (Xinhua) — Malaysia recorded 17,828 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight Monday, bringing the total tally to 4,010,952, according to the health ministry.

They included 407 new imported cases and 17,421 local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed.

A further 63 deaths have been reported from the pandemic, bringing the death toll to 34,463.
