JAKARTA, March 19 (Xinhua) — Timor Leste held a presidential election on Saturday.

There are 16 candidates competing in the election, including the incumbent president Francisco Guterres, Nobel Prize laureate Jose Ramos-Horta and former Catholic priest Martinho Germano da Silva Gusmao.

For the first time, there are four female candidates running in the contest, including deputy prime minister Armanda Ber
