KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) — Malaysia reported 7,234 new COVID-19 cases as of midnight Friday, bringing the national total infections to 2,895,014, according to the health ministry.

There are 234 new imported cases and 7,000 local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed.

A further 11 deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 32,011.

The ministry reported 5,254
