BANGKOK, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) — Thailand reported 8,450 new COVID-19 cases and 28 more deaths in the past 24 hours, the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said on Friday.

The daily case tally in the country has climbed for the third day in a row, with the capital Bangkok, Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi, Chon Buri and Phuket recording the most cases.
