NARAYANGANJ, Bangladesh – The people of Narayanganj have elected Awami League nominee Selina Hayat Ivy to lead the city corporation for the third time in one of the most peaceful, participative, and incident-free elections in Bangladesh’s history.

According to unofficial results released Sunday night, the AL nominee with the boat symbol trounced her nearest challenger by more than 66,835 votes.
