DHAKA, Bangladesh – As Bangladesh commemorates the golden jubilee of its Liberation War victory, President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajid paid tribute to the martyred freedom heroes of 1971.

On Thursday morning, the president and prime minister paid their tributes at the National Memorial in Savar. They held a minute of silence after placing wreaths at the memorial.
