HANOI, Vietnam: The Vietnamese government has announced that Nguyen Phu Trong, head of Vietnam’s ruling Communist Party, will visit China next week on the invitation of President Xi Jinping.

Chinese state media reported that the visit to Beijing, a rare overseas trip by the 78-year-old Vietnamese leader, will take place from 30th October to 2nd November.
