KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) — Malaysia recorded 4,831 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight Thursday, bringing the total tally to 4,724,225, according to its health ministry.

Among the newly reported infections were six new imported cases and 4,825 local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed.

Another 10 deaths have been reported from the pandemic, taking the death toll to 36,0
