JAKARTA, Indonesia: Indonesia’s defense ministry said over the weekend that it had canceled a deal to buy 12 Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets from Qatar worth a total of US$790 million.

In a statement, ministry spokesperson Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak said, “There is no purchase of Mirage jets. Even though it was planned, it has been cancelled, meaning there is no active contract.”
