ULAN BATOR, June 9 (Xinhua) — Mongolia exported 5.7 million tons of coal in the first five months of this year, data released by the Mongolian Customs General Administration showed Thursday.

The figure marks an increase of 1.9 million tons from the previous month and a decrease of around 3 million tons from a year ago, it said.

Coal is Mongolia’s main export commodity.
